I'm so behind! It was a busy day yesterday, and we've got a sakura viewing party this afternoon, but I'll do my best to squeeze in some reading!
1. What are you reading right now?
Nothing yet... Whoops.
2. How many books have you read so far?
...0. I'm sorry!
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
I'm going to finally start Carry On and catch up on some manga!
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
All of the interruptions. Plus a full night of sleep, because it's all too busy to sacrifice that.
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
As always, there have been so many people participating! I'm so happy to see how this has grown!

Goals
Books Completed: 4/5 (1 books, 0 audiobooks, 3 manga, 0 Japanese language manga, 0 visual novel routes)

We're heading into the last bit! Many people have been lost to the night time, but it's just getting close to dinnertime here... Perhaps it's time to fire up the audiobook again and work on dinner and laundry. (Luckily, I pre-cooked the vegetables, so I just have to warm them up and add the noodles for yakisoba!)
I'm doing very well on my goals this time, though. Hurray for slightly-lowered standards! I'm through 4+ books, I've got one challenge to go, and I've cheered more than I asked myself to. So life is pretty good! I've been reading more manga than planned, but it's just so good! I can't help it! I really love manga! (Three guesses what my future career goals include.)

Mad Libs Mini Challenge
I'm on a World Trigger roll, so let's do this thing!
"Mikado City, population: (number). One day, a gate to another (noun) opened here. "(noun)." That's what we eventually called them. These invaders from another dimension (verb)ed everything in the vicinity of the gate, spreading (feeling) throughout the city. The neighbors' technology was different from that of our (noun). Our (noun)s were ineffective. Everyone believed it was only a matter of time before the city was (verb)ed. And then..."
"Mikado City, population: 17. One day, a gate to another peanut butter opened here. "Swan." That's what we eventually called them. These invaders from another dimension tickled everything in the vicinity of the gate, spreading jubilance throughout the city. The neighbors' technology was different from that of our apple. Our swings were ineffective. Everyone believed it was only a matter of time before the city was quaked. And then..."
Thanks to Julie Guthrie, B, and the original post for my fill-ins!

Ohayou gozaimasu! It's now morning here in Japan, and while I didn't sleep as much as a regular night, I still got a good amount of sleep. I have classes to teach tomorrow, you know! But now it's time to get back to reading!
I finished a manga just before sleeping. Now I want to read the next one! Maybe that'll happen soon... For now, I'm off to church! I'll audiobook my way there and back, so I don't miss too much reading time! (And I'll probably sneak some Twitter cheering in between classes. Shhh.)

Mid-Event Survey
1. What are you reading right now?
I'm in between books right now, but I'll be starting Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist as I drive to church!
2. How many books have you read so far?
Only two, but that's not bad for having slept through six of the 12 hours! Plus I got in some fun challenges and cheering.
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
Still not sure! It depends on what holds my attention, I think.
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Sleep was my biggest one. And church coming up here soon. But past read-a-thons have taught me to be flexible and not worry too much, so I'm not!
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Like last year, I'm shocked at how many participants we have! I still remember when it was very small. Also, I was in high school. I'm sure that says a lot. Haha.

Cover Escape Mini-Challenge
After doing some browsing, I think this cover is the one I'd like to escape to the most!
The room has a calming feel to it, doesn't it? And look at all those books begging to be read!
I also found the cover I'd like to escape to the LEAST. Yikes!
